docktor is free software offered as-is. You use it at your own risk. Don’t redistribute cracked or malware-wrapped copies. Privacy details live in the Privacy Policy.

docktor’s currently shipping features are free. A future paid “Pro” tier may add optional features. Features that ship free in a given release stay available without payment for that release’s feature set; we won’t convert those shipped free features into a paywall without clear notice in release notes.

docktor may ask for macOS permissions (for example Accessibility, Screen Recording, Calendar, Location) and optional connections (for example Spotify). You control those grants in System Settings. Third-party services you connect have their own terms and privacy policies.

docktor may check for updates (currently via Sparkle). Updates may change features; continued use after an update means you accept the terms then in effect, as linked from the site or release notes.

If you send feedback, ideas, or diagnostics through the in-app Feedback widget or by email, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use that material to operate and improve docktor. Don’t send anything you don’t have rights to share.

docktor is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Mac configuration or future macOS version.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peter Sauer and anyone distributing docktor on his behalf will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) docktor. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed US $0 (the amount you paid for the free app) or the minimum amount required by law, whichever is higher. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations; in those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.

Public pre-release builds may be less stable. Please report bugs via the in-app Feedback widget or GitHub Issues.

You may stop using docktor at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop distributing the app or updates at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (license restrictions, warranty disclaimer, liability limits, feedback license) survive termination.

How docktor handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be noted on the website or in release notes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence apply.
